“Sustainable Transportation Questionnaire” for Bay Area Candidates that are on the November 2024 Ballot
Elected officials at every level of government in the Bay Area can play a vital role in making it easier, safer, and greener for more people to get in and around our communities. How we get around and the barriers we face in that process affect nearly every aspect of our lives like housing, healthcare, economic development, safety, education, and much more. The “Sustainable Transportation Questionnaire” was sent to candidates running for town/city council, Mayor, AC Transit Director, BART Director, County Supervisor, State Assembly, State Senate, and House of Representative positions in all Alameda, Contra Costa, Solano, Napa, Sonoma, Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo, and Santa Clara Counties in order to help educate people voting in the November 2024 General Election.

The 2024 “Sustainable Transportation Questionnaire” for the General Election project was cosponsored by Transbay Coalition, Seamless Bay Area, SPUR, Transform, 350 Bay Area, Friends of Caltrain, San Francisco Transit Riders, Santa Clara County For Transit, East Bay Transit Riders Union, Sustainable Marin, Bike East Bay, Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition, Center for Independent Living Hayward, Climate Resilient Communities, El Cerrito/Richmond Annex Walk & Roll, Mountain View Coalition for Sustainable Planning, San Antonio Station Alliance, Traffic Violence Rapid Response, Sonoma County Transportation and Land Use Coalition, and Walkable Walnut Creek.
*All candidates running for a town/city council, Mayor, County Supervisor, State Assembly, State Senate, and House of Representative position in the Nine-County Bay Area were approached with the opportunity to complete the questionnaire and given time to do so. Candidates who did not respond, could not be reached, or declined to complete the questionnaire have not been included.
